These days you need to make yourself stand out from the crowd. At York College, students participate in our research series and embark on a journey to participate in the scientific process by developing an unanswered question, designing a study to answer that question, collecting and analyzing data, and communicating their results to different audiences. This experience will help you stand out, but internships and other summer experiences are a wonderful way to narrow down your career interests and boost your resume. As a YCP student, you can even complete an internship for credit during the academic year.
Use the following links as a springboard for finding the right opportunity for you. Start early in the academic year. Fall is the best time to look for summer opportunities because most applications are due December - February. You may also need references or letters of recommendation so talk to faculty members and give them at least two weeks notice.
